Enchanted Morning”- 24” x 40” Built in Port Carling - the last Ditchburn ever built

Michael French, an internationally recognized artist, has a total of 38 group exhibitions and 28 solo exhibitions. His last exhibition took place at the Kinsman Robinson Gallery in Toronto last year. His father, Dr. Barry French, a leader in technological innovation and recipient of the Order of Canada and his mother, Gloria, are both summer residents on beautiful Lake Rosseau.

Muskoka’s favorite: Lake Trout
The lake trout is one of Canada’s largest freshwater fish found in the Muskoka Lakes region. The deep cold waters of the larger lakes are ideal for lake trout mainly because of their primary forage and abundance of small fish such as ciscoes. It is common to see lake trout actually chasing ciscoes on the surface, especially early in the morning on calm waters.
The Muskoka lakers generally run between 3 and 5 lbs. In terms of bait, any reasonable minnow imitation will attract a fair share of fish in the water.
Spring is the most popular time to fish for lake trout because they can be caught using various shallow water presentations.
